Discover grants and stipends available to UC San Diego AB 540 students:

USS Equity Grant

  • The purpose of the USS Equity Grant is to eliminate the financial barrier that many students face as they seek opportunities for professional growth and preparation for graduate school.

  • In the past, the grant has helped students cover conference registration costs and related travel expenses (flight, hotel, ground transportation, meals), costs of graduate school entrance exams (GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT), preparation classes (non-degree), and related preparation materials.

  • The criteria of expenses that may be covered is flexible, provided that the student is able to make a strong argument as to how the expense will support their professional development or preparation for graduate school.

  • Students may receive up to $500 throughout the year. Funds are not offered during the summer.

  • Open to undergraduate and graduate students.

  • Applications are accepted on a rolling basis starting Week 1 of the fall quarter and through Week 3 of spring quarter. See application for additional information.
